A creative arts practitioner and Jungian Sandplay facilitator, holding space for others to explore, express and grow.
Maryke van Rensburg believes that everyone carries a light within, and that creativity is one of the gentlest ways to find it.
Her path weaves together design, therapeutic arts, Jungian Sandplay and yoga into a single, caring practice. She creates calm, non-judgemental spaces where children, teenagers and adults can slow down, express what is hard to say, and reconnect with themselves through art and play.
Alongside her studio work, Maryke volunteers with the Sp(i)eel Creative Arts Therapies Collective and works with children at the Edu-Play Special Needs Learning Centre. As an artist she has shown work in more than ten exhibitions, was an ABSA L’Atelier finalist in 2014, and received a Best Photograph award in 2013.
